The game started very even with good chances both ways. About 5 minutes in Raanana captain Avi Schecter made a weak pass  across the rink that was stolen , setting up the games first goal. The Bears came in and buried a puck loose under the Raanana goaltender.Raanana fell into a tight shell defensively all night, giving time and space for Jerusalem to pounce over and over again.Constantly getting shots to the net and burying any rebounds. By the time the half came it was 6-1 Bears, and they scored twice in the final thirty seconds. Raanana got its goal with some solid net crashing, Simon Geisman tapped home a rebound that was loose in the crease, it took a few swats but it found the back of the net.

The second half was slightly more respectable with Jerusalem only tacking on three more. Raanana got a short handed goal by Yaakov Sacks on a splendid steal and lead pass from Geisman who led the Hitmen on the stat sheet with a two point night. Jerusalem constantly were given second and third attempts at the net and seemingly scored on every scoring chance. It seemed like the Hitmen were playing short handed most of the night.

The Bears got the taste of blood, literally with Hitman JJ Schwartz sent of for a high sticking late. The accidental infraction drew a 5 minute major and a two minute minor a broken nose and some blood. With the taste of their own blood expect the Bears to be real hungry going into the next round.
